Also the part time work available to the international students makes it convenient for the students to earn there living cost. If you are studying full time in New Zealand on a Student Visa, you are permitted to work 20 hours in a week and full time during weekends and during Christmas and 52 weeks in the year (12 months X 4 weeks). Out of these, for 46 weeks you can work 20 hours per week and 40 hours for the rest of the 6 weeks. These 6 weeks are normally the Christmas and New Year vacation.Minimum wage in New Zealand right now is $12 per hour.
